    'block' function does not work!


    Block does not work. i will go into gamertag of someone sending abusive message and toggle block- and will continue to get messages. These messages are from strangers not friends, it happens consistently, from anyone, and the block toggle in their game profile
    continues to say "unblock" as though they are blocked. It happened on xbox 360 and continues to do so on xbox one.

    What is the point of "block" if it does absolutely nothing!? I called the support center and they had no clue what to do. We all get stupid messages from some whiner who's mad they got killed- I would love to block these raging lunatics rather than get a
    string of hate mail, please help!

    'block' function does not work!

    Are you sure the abusive messages come from the same blocked account?

    Also keep in mind, that if you send someone a message while they are blocked, this automatically removes the block.

    So for example, if you do this:

    You recieve an abusive message from the Gamertag "BlockMe01"

    You go to the Profile of "BlockMe01" and block that account.

    You go to messaging and send "BlockMe01" the message: "I blocked you."

    This will unblock "BlockMe01" and you continue to get messages from that Gamertag.

    If however the person uses multiple accounts like for example "BlockMe01", "BlockMeTwo", "BlockMeAswell" and "BlockMeSeeIfICare", and you block "BlockMe01", the other accounts can still harass you.

    In that case, go to your Online and Privacy settings at
    https://account.xbox.com/Settings     and temporarily set your messaging settings to "Friends Only".

    That way, only people that are on your friend list can message you. Everyone else is blocked.

    I tried to replicate this and searched online, but it seems we can't remove them from the followers list, the option just isn't there.

    It might be possible to ask an XBOX Support Agent to do it for you, it is worth trying.

    This has not been the case, Blocking People does remove followers but not the people I would like removed.

    They are blocked and muted but I really don't wana see them in there.
