Block certain things on xbox one

Hello, I was trying to figure out a way to block either certain websites or just the Microsoft Edge app on my own Xbox one on my own microsoft account. The only things I could find were family settings, which require another account and a family group,
and even then seem to be easily disabled just be having the restricted account remove itself (what use is it for parents then?). Is there perhaps a third party app which can accomplish this?

Are you wanting to stop a child accessing certain sites? Then setting up a child account within the family is what you should be doing. Whilst you can restrict certain things on an adult account, as you point out it can be bypassed.

Hi there,

you should be able to limit content usage by using a Guest Code, without the quest code it shouldn't be possible to use certain things. This is the link to the support page:

That should prevent people to use content when the restricted account is removed.

So as far as I know, using family settings and the guest code should result in being able to restrict access to certain things.

When domain is blocked you wont receive anything eveb in the spam folder from them

Some isps actively block certain things like gaming or newsletters

I ran into a hotspot where i wasnt even allowed to goto a gaming forums reason being from the server msg itself no gaming

Aol is also one that gets blocked by certain services

If your apartment owner is the only one with administrative access to the router then it is possible he blocked certain ports or MAC addresses. Your Xbox would still be able to find the connection, it just wouldn't be able to connect. My suggestion is to
just talk to your apartment owner and find out if he has blocked any certain things on the router.

(I am guessing you only use wifi and that the home owner is the one in possession of the router, please correct me if I am wrong and add more info if you feel necessary)
