Blank sign in screen when linking XBOX Live account (Sea of Thieves)

Today i installed sea of thieves once again, since my friend got it recently and wanted to play it with me. Everything was alright until it gave me an error that could only be fixed by re-linking the XBOX Live account to my steam account, which really wasnt a big deal until i tried to log back into Sea of Thieves. The login screen was completely blank and the instructions they gave in their support page are both unclear and just dont work. It really pisses me off to know that we are in 2021 and errors like these still happen with games owned by huge companies like Microsoft. I'm just trying to give you all a warning about this, since i'm not even the only one with this issue, yet support doesn't seem to care too much about it. And yes, any kind of help would also be appreciated.

Do you have the Xbox app and Xbox companion app installed on your PC? Please install both and try to log in with your account on them.

Then try logging back into the game, please.

The image i linked is what happens to the Xbox Live sign-in once i press Start Game, and the link (It's originally in portuguese) below is what the Sea of Thieves support says I should do, even though it does not work.

follow these steps.

To check if your Microsoft account is linked in Sea of Thieves, you can:

1. Launch Sea of Thieves:

When you launch the game for the first time, you should be prompted to sign in to your Xbox (Microsoft) account.

2. Check the linked account:

If you have already signed in to Sea of Thieves, you can check if your Microsoft account is linked to your Xbox (Microsoft) account.

3. Check your Microsoft account:

You can also check if your Xbox account is linked to your Microsoft account by going to account.microsoft.com and going to "Your info" and then "Account info".

sign into the xbox store with the same microsoft account linked in the game then redeem, they will be added to the account and available next time you launch sea of thieves.
