BLACK SCREEN ON XFINITY X1

If your Xfinity Flex or X1 is displaying a black screen, then there's some possibility that your Xfinity Flex or TV is having some fault in cable connections. if you tried to reset the resolution and it didn't work, it's probably a defect, the procedure to reset the resolution to 320 is this.

If there is a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Xbox  button for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Press and hold the Xbox  button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep immediately and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash before the second beep. Don't let go until you hear the second beep or see the console boot into low resolution mode (the Xbox boot screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you will need to press and hold the Xbox  button and the Pair button, as your console does not have an Eject button.

Same here same deal degraded PQ compared to just plugging the cable box directly into the tv

Crushed blacks, pixelated, softer picture etc.

Also it's not the whole screen that goes black, it's only the TV app screen that goes black

Yup, that's pretty much what I'm doing too. I replaced the cable with a newer high speed cable and thought that might have fixed it, only to have it happen 3x more times yesterday so it's definitely not fixed. Pretty frustrating.
