    Black Screen Of Death (after update from last Saturday)


    So, my Xbox1X is stuck on a black screen after startup. No way to fix it (sync+eject etc...). Even the factory reset by USB fails, a powerdown chime after the two powerup with this log:

    The console will power on with the pad or headphone, and it "phone home" to microsoft server by net traffic logs, it even downloaded un update yesterday of 661.4MB (could not post a screenshot ATM) so it seems to be "alive". what I should do?

    I know, it's a beta program, things can and will go wrong, but the way to fix it should not be to pay 270€ to whom "broke" it.

    Did the Update last night, woke up and now I have the black screen of death. Glad to see I'm not alone. Surely there will be a fix for this from microsoft that actually works.

    It's bricked. Send in for repair £90 GBP and a 90 day warranty comes with that as well. I've attempted to ask Microsoft for a OTA repair using the emergency update but the led from Green screen of death to a black screen of death. This occurred to me after
    a update from Microsoft which glitched out my Xbox and Microsoft are not taking any responsibility for it. I would suggest anyone who has this issue to file a complaint.

    I have just experienced the same issue. My Xbox crashed in the middle of an update and now after the green boot up screen I get the black screen of death. I've tried soft and hard reboots and after holding down the sync and eject button I am now stuck in low resolution black screen of death.

    Not sure what I'm supposed to do and now my sons and I are without a gaming machine.

    I black screened after the initial "Green Screen of Death". After attempting a reboot, all I get is black screen now. Will be trying the offline update to see if it makes a difference, but microsoft cs said it was most likely a hardware issue without even
    asking any questions and said I need to have mine replaced. Good luck to anyone else who has similar issues
