    Black screen interference on Xbox Series S


    Hello, I have had a recent issue with display on my Xbox Series S.

    My gaming set-up is a bit unique. I connect my console to a computer monitor and get audio through 1) a 4K Audio Extractor HDMI by OREI and 2) a Ugreen Bluetooth Transmitter plugged into the extractor's optical output.

    Ever since I got this audio system to work, I had sudden issues with my display. I kept getting black screen interference on my home dashboard and during gameplay.

    I partially fixed this issue by changing the Colour Depth from 8-bit to 10-bit, so that now there is no black screen interference during gameplay, but the problem still persists when I'm in my dashboard. Any time I use apps like Apple TV or Amazon Prime, the problem also gets very bad.

    Does anyone know what the issue could be and why it happens on the home screen but not during gameplay? Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Black screen should be due to many thing, there could be interference over the network.

    Are you using it Wired or Wifi?

    Would you please try physically resetting your display options?

    - On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console. Unplug all cables from it, wait for 5 minutes and plug again.

    - Then, press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

    - In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.

    See if the issue persists and please let me know.
