Discus and support black screen after press any key in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I am getting a black screen with a grey popup box that goes away and I can't get past that.     MS flightsim 2020 doesn't start

    Same thing. Did even a remove and reinstall and same black screen with Press any key to Start in the bottom of the screen. Any clues will be great to hear....

    Flight Simulator 2020 I open it and at the start it says "Press any key to start" and I press a key and it just flashes and says the same message again and it just keeps happening no matter what key I press or how many times I keep trying.
    I had this very issue, went to a black screen with a circle and it pops back saying "Press any key to start". The fix for me was to install "Xbox Beta" from microsoft store and running fs 2020 from the xbox app. The very same thing Alvro1967 discovered.

    Yes. Basically all the efforts involved came down to installing Xbox.

    After the installation of XBox, MSFS gets past the "Black screen and Press Any Key" and starts downloading a huge amount of data .....

    Seems like XBox is a real requirement ;-(

    When you scan through this forum you'll see it this worked for many (and still works).

    Tx, hope it doesnt work out that way. I'm still able to play, after cancelling my Xbox subsciption. Fingers crossed ......
