Black screen after instant-on

    Black screen after instant-on


    Sometimes after i turn my xbox back on to continue watching TV, the screen goes black and you cannot use any menu options like holding down the middle button on your controller. The only fix is to restart or reset the console, and it's getting very annoying.

    Same issue here.

    Set top box: TEAC HDR3500T

    TV pass through doesn't work after Xbox has been off in instant on mode (black screen). Turning the Xbox completely off to power saving mode fixes it every time. Inconvenient though.

    Xbox One won't open anything unless I perform a hard reset

    I assume I have a slightly different problem by now. Because I deactivated instant on as mentioned before, but when I start my Xbox I only get a black screen after the green loading screen. I have to push the Guide Button one the controller once again, to
    trigger the login.

    +1 same here. Just did my 4th day in a row of having to restart the console to get TV to work again.

    This is happening to me , but I'm in the insider's. It's a black screen but if I hold the xbox button it dose show the option to shutdown or restart. If I back out of it my home screen shows. Strange one . 🤔
    I'm in ASA insiders, and find it's better to do a Full shutdown after an update,

    (2-3 a week). I also have Energy save mode not Instant on and do the updates manually.

    It's good practice to do a Full shutdown at least once a week if you use Instant on, imo.

    No soul gem large enough?

    1 second works if it's an "instant" kill, 3-5 second window works best for other cases. stocking up on black soul gems or having the black star will be handy if you're after human targets.
