Black Ops 3 crashes on startup Xbox One

I tried after leaving the reply and it’s still not working. The reinstall allows it to progress slightly further in the online service check each time. However after the initial download of the online files it crashes, as it did before I touched my router and modem. I am going to try one more time in case I missed a step, but for now this solution isn’t working. Do you have anything else that might help?

Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. You should carry the steps exactly as stated, if the network had no impact on the games I would not give such suggestions, as you just mentioned, there's a online services check prior the game launching,

modem/router reset won't make it worse, so why don't you try?

I don’t know what my router/modem is supposed to do with my xbox, they’re not plugged into each other or anything. Regardless, I followed the rest of your instructions and they had no meaningful effect. Uninstall, full restart, and reinstall. The game managed to get a little further actually, as it checked the online service it managed to download some files. But it still crashed on start up. Any subsequent attempts have been met with instant crashes as early as before.

The only common thread I see between this and BL is that they both perform online service checks before starting. In both games this is the point that crashes it. Why are they putting these online checks in if they can have effects like this? doesn’t make any sense.

Please uninstall both games, then perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

Restart your Xbox console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button  on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you have USB devices plugged, disconnect them and then reinstall the games
