Black borders in Xbox Game Bar capture finished video

The issue has something to do with Xbox Game Bar/Microsoft Game DVR.

Every time I record a game whether it's by clicking Start recording or Record the last 30 seconds/minute, the video result always ends up with these borders at the bottom and right side of the video. I don't know why it started happening, but the older videos are full/without the borders, and then at some point in December last year they all turned like this, and it's not just one game.

One thing that I know didn't get affected is when recording the browser? Not sure why. Also whether the game is in full screen or windowed doesn't seem to be the thing that is affecting it because one game I tried recording in windowed mode and another in full screen, and they both turned out the same way, with black borders.

This is the actual video screenshot, not edited.

I'm sure this is some kind of an issue, since back then the games capture result would turn out normal.

Also when trying to see the captures in the built in Game Bar gallery, there is an error that says Video could not be decoded.

Any way I can fix this? Thank you for the help.

What kind of resolution are you running your games in? Also what are your hardware specs please?

Same problem. I can clip other games, but Fortnite only capturing a still not video. Audi is there, a still capture, but no video. I've repaired and reset game bar, still doesn't work.

No, screens and videos need to be captured via Xbox or the Xbox Game Bar on PC, otherwise the Xbox Live feed would be overloaded with memes and GIFs.
