Bizarre error when downloading Minecraft Java

I tried to redeem a code for Minecraft Java (for my PC), but I encountered an error at a really weird time, and it looks to have messed up my purchase. Right after I entered in my profile name, I was told an error had occurred. So, I had to go to another page. It seemed like the purchase worked, as the profile name I entered is on the Minecraft website, but my library doesn't have the game on it. I know the purchase worked, as I got a redeemed prepaid card gmail a moment later, but the game just doesn't show up for me.

Is there something I still haven't done yet? Is there a way for me to still download the game from the Minecraft website itself?

I didn't see an option to install the game from the link you sent me, but I think I found the actual problem.

The Mojang account that I have for the Minecraft Launcher wasn't linked to the Microsoft account that I bought the game on. Once I noticed this, the Java version was available to me, not just as a demo.

I followed the instructions:
- Error 0x87e00196 came up when attempting to download Minecraft Java via the xbox app and when attempting to download Minecraft Launcher via the Microsoft Store

I don't get an error code accept for "an error occurred on our end" and a manual install also does not work.

Also is their three packages for the minecraft launcher?

One that is for both java edition and inecragt for Windows

The second java edition

The third minecraft for windows.

I did eventually get a version to work since the old launcher redirected me to the new launcher which I installed and did let me install minecraft for windows version.

However the store version which downloads java edition and something else never worked.

Not by reseting not by uninstalling and reinstalling not by downloading from the minecraft website and manually downloading.
