Big Punch

Anyone else having a ball with this? I love it so much I forget to shoot half the time. Course I get nuked a bit too but who cares, I punched the living crap out of them until they nuked.

Dash-punch. Keep moving forward, Damn defence, damn dodging, damn how many of them there are. I get you in a corner I'm gonna knock the living bejeezus out of you if it's the last thing I do..

What's with all the Gen 1's?

i don't think there's too much of an increase in GEN1, but i think the added tag just makes them more noticeable. And Berserk, you're right there are some good ones out there, as we regen we stop using the same tactics that got us where we are so the newer
guys using all they have at their limited disposal surprises us. For example, i don't throw titan punches that much anymore and when i do its with big punch, so i forget that titans can throw faster punches without it and i get terminated, or i forget the
game will literally let the opposing titan reach way beyond what it should when they have big punch.

 

Fave Titan Weapon w/attachment?

The Triple Threat when i'm not trying to complete the Regen requirement challenges. That with the Cluster missile and big punch makes for a pretty offensive titan.

 

Works well to knock titans off the edge.

 

I feel like this got some kind of stealth nerf... Since I unlocked it on G5, it feels like it's less controllable. It has a built in dash with it that I don't remember, and it always seems to put me in bad positioning.

Up until G5, I love it on almost all of my sets, but now I'm not so sure. Probably just had an off day, but we shall see.

 

Been using it to get around the map faster since day one

 

I like it and I like to punch pilots who are jumping at me to do the rodeo dance! It splatters them and you get recognized for it. That and electric smoke works well.

 

Punch, couldnt wait to get it, used it ever since, i pop smoke then smack fools right out of it, its like im doin em a favor

 

I definitely love it, but even without it (just regen'd) I still always like to get up in the faces of other titans and go toe to toe. I usually play as an Ogre, and a lot of times it seems to really take the other titan by surprise and can usually get a
few good hits in before they realize what's going on. I figure as more people get experience, this'll become harder as people dash back to avoid it and continue shooting. For now, it's fun though!

 

What's the opinion of the best weapon to go with in your face up close and personal matched with the big right hand style?

I tried chain-gun... nah better at range, likewise the cannon. Arc and railgun too long to charge up and too slow movement to keep it charged (railgun). Triple-treat you end up walking into your own grenades so I'm thinking the quad rockets work best (for
brawling) paired with the salvo or clusters and the electric smoke just to add to the confusion. Of course MUST be Ogre or you're kidding yourself.

I admit I don't last long going toe to toe but it's not about how long you last, it's how many you take with you...

... and how satisfying it is to land one right on the chin.

At exo your right I think there was a silent update where they changed the movement of the BIG PUNCH, now when I miss I go like 10 feet past the guy and get shot in the back. I think (for me at least) the best weapon for close up is the RAILGUN with "INSTANT
SHOT" and the cluster missiles. The instant shot makes the railgun where it doesn't require a charge, but it knocks the damage down a bit, its noticeable but still usable in terms of attack, after there shields gone about 3-5 shots should kill them and its
fires rather quickly (no charge)

 

^^^^I hate when I miss and fly right past them. I go toe to toe a lot when im in a room with a not so experienced/unorganized group. I go in guns blazing and then with a Big Punch to knock em back, then slap em with a barrage of missles. I don't always win
but dang it if I don't leave with a striped bar
