Big pc hits on console or test servers for games via insider

the Xbox Insider program is mostly meant to get Updates (to the console or for Windows Insider for the PC) earlier and use/test them. If you encounter issues you can report then via the Feedback option within the Insider app or use the forums to report them.

On Both PC and Xbox there are quests (or surveys) that can be done and accessible via the Insider Hub (App)

There have been games in the past, but that's a rare thing.

Already did that. Even bought a new console, did't join the Insider Program and DNS Server is 8.8.8.8

Prey and Everspace (tested on Xbox and PC) don't unlock ANY Chivo, Portal Knights and Tokyo 42 work fine.

Ping and download speeds aren't necessarily related. Ping is the time it takes for data to be sent and returned back to your console or PC measured in milliseconds.

When you do a speed test on Xbox Live, the console checks the nearest Microsoft server. When you do a speed test on a PC you will be connected to the nearest server that can do the test. The server for the Xbox could be several hundred miles away from your
location, while the speed test on your PC could be pinging a server only a few miles away.

What I'm trying to say is, you shouldn't take a speed test result from the console as your actual ping, it will be way off. In any case a ping of 40-50ms is actually a great ping for online gaming.

Most games are run from dedicated servers now. To get 0 ping, you would literally have to plugged directly into the gaming server.

you do realise that ps has crossplay too, also don't use the network test on the console as gospel as it is a burst test to a server in central US.

It must also be something with your connection or how your service is routed via your ISP as I and many people I know have low pings on xbox and pc, on average my xbox ping is usually about 15ms higher than that of pc. i sit usually at 10ms on pc for most games and about 25 to 28 on xbox on most games crossplay or not crossplay too. so it cannot be the servers or we would all be affected.

@ First, I think Randver has hit the nail on the head there, consoles are a different beast to PC gamers, on the whole they jump from game to game very quickly trying to keep up with what "big" at the time whereas a PC gamer tends to be in it for the long
haul, hence why I still think that most of the general public that have played the Alpha will tended to have treated it as a demo.

I'll also say that if we're honest it wasn't truly an Alpha either, the PC have already had the proper alpha test, this to me seems like the are testing the console crowd out to see reactions to gameplay concept and adjust their sales predictions accordingly.
