    Big Family Screen Time Security Hole!!!!


    Hi there!

    I have family accounts set up for my 2 sons. It's generally been working fine, however today my son asked me to add some more time. On the Xbox he put in the request and it came up with the list of users who could approve it. Previously it was just me. Today
    it showed me plus his two friends who often come around and play. He clicked on one (who has no password) …. and voila, it allowed him to extend his time as he pleases!

    Not sure when this started, but clearly it's a problem!

    Yeah if you are watching porn the yes it is a security hole but if you are stupid enough to do that then that is your own fault not everyone else. Besides if it was that big of security risk why is it required for 95 % of video players on PC.

    If anyone interested, how I solved this issue - I have deleted existing family security, then created new family under different account, adding my main account as a family member, not organiser. I can see the screen time of my main account now.

    Hi!

    I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to set multiple blocks of allowed screen time for my child.

    For example, I want my child to be allowes to play on his devices up until 10am. Then between 10am and 7pm he isn’t allowed but then 7pm and onwards he’s allowed

    I hope this makes sense and I hope someone can help me

    Hello,

    switch the accounts Sign in preferences from the parental account. Switching the child accounts settings so that the account is not set up to Instant sign in and set up with the "Lock it down" option instead. This would
    require him entering the child accounts password in order to sign in and that can only be performed online. Also by turning off the Instant Sign in feature his account would not be able to be signed into while offline without the password as well. That would
    stop the guest account from being able to log in.
