Discus and support Bf 2042 low FPS and my task running disk at 80-90% in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; For the life of me I can’t figure out what to do.     Bf 2042 low FPS and my task running disk at 80-90%


    For the life of me I can’t figure out what to do. Running a i5 10040F with 32gbs of ram and a RTX 2060. I’m getting horribly FPS. I used to get 85-100 but the last month it’s been 20-30 making it unplayable.

    Things I’ve tried so far

    reverted video drivers 3-4 updates back
    put all settings to low/medium/high
    turned off all overlays

    what’s next?

    also when I play 2042 my system in my task is taking up 80% on disk every time I load and play. A month ago it didn’t do that. It always seems like it’s loading something.

    Additional information is needed please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

    Is this happening on Windows 11 or 10?
    Is this happening with Steam games or no matter the store/platform the issue happens with all your games?
    Do you have the games installed on the C: drive? Or instead you installed the game on a different drive? (Like D, E, F!
    Did you tried to force the use of your graphics card for the game?

    Game runs at around 80-100 fps so yeah this isn't exactly the issue
