    Better Way To Use Multiple Xbox Consoles On One Network?


    Is there not a better way to setup a gaming session with 5+ people other than running two consoles on the same network? Googling has not helped much to find instruction on setting up multiple consoles on one network. Because the setup I am planning would put the consoles/TVs/router in the same area, is there not one thing I could do more to make the experience less hazardous to a stable experience?

    Regarding your question, you will need to check if your router is able to connect to more than two consoles. Try contacting your ISP for more information.

    Check if you are using multiple consoles. Not all routers allow you to use multiple Xbox One consoles on the same network. If you have multiple Xbox One consoles and your router doesn't allow you to use multiple consoles, you will either need to use only one console at a time, or you will need to upgrade to a new router that allows you to connect multiple Xbox One consoles.

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the only way to get multiple consoles online at the same time (with open NAT) is to use a router that has a better implementation of PAT then your current one does. As stated earlier in the thread both the One and
    the 360 both use port 3074. PAT allows devices on your network to "share" the port. It is a lot of work at first but you would need to swap your gateway for a modem from Comcast(they can do it at a service center) and then to purchase a router that can support
    multiple consoles. You will want to search the forums and check the Networking Hardware Information forum for devices listed as able to do it.
