Better together update friend can’t join me

I’m her only Minecraft friend. I can’t join her and she can’t join me.

Hello Dericka, thanks for your reply. I tried updating windows and my friends can join my world now. Thanks a lot! Do you know what is causing this by not updating windows? I’d like to know in case my friends can’t join me again in the future. Thanks

Yes they need a better support for people playing together. Me and my friend are in a crew and an xbox party, but it is a hassle to stay together when going into a race lobby or game. Halo 4 had a good system, once you joined, you could navigate many gametypes
and always be together.

I can’t even invite/join my friends’ parties because I can’t get to the commands that let me do so.

Upon reading the description you have posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein even after clearing out your MAC addresses both you and your friend can't play together when you play Xbox 360 games.

Set up multiplayer gaming in backward compatible games

When you're playing an Xbox 360 game on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, it's like you're on an Xbox 360 console. Xbox One and next-gen Xbox features such as Friends and Party don't interact with your game.

In an Xbox 360 game, you send game invites and start parties the way you would on Xbox 360: by using the Xbox Guide. Open the guide by pressing the View button  and the Menu button  at the same time, and then choose Friends or Party and follow the instructions.

In Original Xbox games, online features such as multiplayer and leaderboards don’t work on newer Xbox consoles. However, you can still use Xbox parties to chat while playing alongside others, in whatever game they’re playing.
