    (Beta) Series X not always booting?


    noticed a recent issue (within last two weeks, I'd say) has happened 3 times so far.

    today I pick up my media remote and power the console on (it makes the sound as normal), move some stuff off my chair and turn around to the console being "off". it turned the TV on but has no signal and the console's light is off. I press the power button on the console and on-screen I see the dashboard already fully loaded very briefly (less than one second) and then it goes to a grey screen and re-loads the dashboard as if it had been off.

    due to the specificity, searching didn't help unfortunately. anyone had this, is it a known issue? I am in the beta preview ring for clarification.

    Xbox one s isn’t compatible with series s games

    Depending on what the game is, if what you bought is for the Series S/X then it will only work on the Series S/X. The One was released before the Series S/X. One games will work on the Series S/X, but not always vice versa.

    So could u still play a game on a old gen if it says optimized for Xbox series x/s

    You would have to check if the game was released on older gen or not. If it says it's only for Series S/X, then no. If it says it'll work on both the One and Series S/X, then yes.

    A game can be optimized for the Series S/X but still work on both, but not always.
