I understand that you are experiencing issues with your TV showing the Samsung Screen and not the Xbox home screen.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please disable Samsung TV's HDMI-CEC Completely. Since AnyNet+ is Samsung’s HDMI-CEC feature, disabling it should usually prevent the TV from overriding Xbox input, but some lingering settings may still exist.

To do this, open Settings on your TV.

Navigate to General > External Device Manager.

Ensure HDMI-CEC (AnyNet+) is turned off.

And then set Xbox controller to focus only on console by pressing the Xbox button, then navigate to Settings > Devices & Connections > Accessories.

Select your controller and update its firmware if needed.

Next is to perform a full powercycle on your TV and Xbox device. To do this, turn off your TV and unplug it for 30 seconds. Restart your Xbox console.

Reconnect the devices and test the controller behavior.

How to Turn on HDMI-CEC on Your Samsung TV

1. Open the External Device Manager. To activate HDMI-CEC, go to the External Device Manager, found under the General
   Settings menu.
2. Activate CEC. The first option in the External Device Manager is Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). ...
   
3. Navigate to Universal Remote. In the source list, select Universal Remote, and add a new device.

You can control your Set Top Box (STB) if it supports HDMI-CEC. You maybe able to control your TV, but again it needs to support HDMI-CEC.

Some STBs do not feature HDMI-CEC protocol (e.g. Sky HD STB), which means it can't be controlled via Xbox One. You need a Sky remote.

I don't know what anynet is, nor do I know if "HDMI control" and HDMI-CEC are the same thing, but HDMI-CEC is supported according to MS.
