    Beta Insider: Constant and consitent freezes when bringing up guide (Beta Insider)


    Just curious if anyone has experienced similar issues as of late.

    Some background to diagnose the issue: XB1X Beta Insider Version: 19h1_release_xbox_dev_2002.200128-2000

    Im usually playing a game, streaming spotify, and on chat when it happens. The game Im playing doesnt seem to affect the issue as it happens across multiple titles. When I press my guide button to bring up the side bar, most of the time I have no issues. However, when naviagting to certain other tabs (like party), my whole xbox freezes up, audio glitches out, and then is followed by a hard shutdown. Ive noticed this usually only happens whem trying to navigate to anything in the guide that requires a second window to open.

    When the second window appears, its usually frezzed when the second window is still partially transparent. Everything will stay frozen for a second or two before the aforementioned hard shutdown occurs.

    Im assumimg that this must be a software bug. Perhaps the xbox cant handle everything going on simultaneously. Again this seems to be an issue when clicking anything that opens a second sodebar window on top of the first.

    Just curious if anyone else in beta ring has experienced this or know any solutions as this occurs somewhat frequently

    Minecraft Beta Unrollment Troubles

    Javier,

    I have the exact same issue where I was prompted to update and when I loaded the game was in Beta mode. I've never used Insider Hub.

    I've installed Insider - Joined the Beta, then Left it. Uninstalled, Power Cycled, and re-installed. Still locked in Beta.

    I then went into Hub - verified I am not signed up for Beta - Removed my Insider account and done a full factory reset on the xbox.

    Once complete only installed Minecraft and again... Still Beta.

    How do I get away from this Beta....

    Is it possible that your friends signed up for the Minecraft Beta in the Insider App?

    If that's the case, your friends either need to leave the Minecraft Beta and play on the "regular" version, or you'll have to install the Xbox Insider App, and join the Minecraft Beta as well.

    Tretheg4mer2,

    The version of Minecraft that you are playing (1.7.0.9) is a Beta version. Did you, or someone on your console sign up for the Minecraft Beta, as part of the Xbox Insiders program? Version 1.6.1 is the current retail release.

    If you want to go back to 1.6.1 you will have to leave the Beta program, and then uninstall, and re-install Minecraft once you are out of the Beta. See the guide and FAQ here: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2018/07/09/minecraft-beta-guide-and-faqs/

    The fix just reached the BETA Insider ring today. Hopefully not much longer for the general public.
    Are you able to confirm that the fix is working or not in the "BETA Insider ring?" If your device is enrolled in the Insider Program how do you get into this BETA?
