BesTV and Chinese console

Hi there, hope everyone is doing well, even with the Covid problem.

So, I bought my Xbox One X console in China, during a travel business. I live in Brazil, the console and my Microsoft account are set to Brazil and, until a few days ago, it worked perfectly.

Recently, though, even with the console connected to the internet (checked by settings > Network > Test Network), it wouldn't allow me to connect to Xbox Live or use the internet on Edge. Games worked, but without access to my save games, profile or achievements.
AND, a notification started to show up, every time I turned the hardware on, asking me to register with Bestv. I never even heard of that nor I had any app with that name. Nevertheless, I tried to do the registration process, that would require a code sent
to my cell phone. That code never arrived, in countless tries. Browsing the net, I discovered that it was something related to when the Chinese consoles were region blocked (or government blocked).

So, I thought I had an issue and tried to reset my console. My mistake, since it asks me for the damn code even before I am able to add my Microsoft Account. And it doesn't allow me to even skip that step when registering my console. Kind of a software brick
on the console, since I can't use it anymore.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this? Or I can use it as a huge expensive paper weight?

Unfortunately, I won't be going back to China in the near future... not only because of the virus spread, but because my company stopped all activities until this dire situation is resolved.

It seems I will just have to wait for the new one to be released and don't play anything till there =/.

I am only guessing at this - from the described behavior after the factory reset - I am assuming this check lives in the firmware/bios (chipset) - not in the OS which is loaded from the hard drive. If I were you I would try to take/send it back to China
and sell it there - then get one in Brazil. Sorry for not having any better news.

It's like my console is a Chinese console, because it only has one region and language. And it's like Microsoft log in has been disabled because it needs a BesTv account not Microsoft account.

A good friend gave it yo me, he won it 2 years ago in a lottery in his job, but he never could pass the BesTV screen, so, it's the first device setup.

I have done a factory reset, the screen in the troubleshooter is in English:

I don't think it will be possible to use it anymore.

Xbox consoles sold in the Chinese market are different to all other Xbox consoles, you can blame the Chinese Communist Party for that. The Chinese Xbox consoles are only meant for Chinese citizens which is why it is now asking you for Identification. Chinese
Xbox consoles can not change the regional settings as far as I'm aware.

Sorry about that. You need to take this up with Alibaba.
