What is the best weapon to start off the game also do you start with the bell towers to get a silenced rifle?

What are the best missions to Level up, I'm only level 23 and have limited access to better weapons due to weapons being capped at various levels.

 

I bought the gauss too, but sadly the ammo is very hard to find.

 

Love my modified combat shotgun for ghouls, while the short assault rifle or Righteous Authority does nicely on legendary characters; I bounce between a silenced modified 10m.m. and silenced modified pipe pistol for the regulars. Proton(?) grenades/landmines
for the gnarly robots.

Well now I need to see if I can find the vendors in the institute. Also, the fat man has paid off really well a few times.

 

Think The Last Minute wwith the Rifleman perk maxed out is pretty tough to beat. Just got the "Harder They Fall" ahievement using it. For ghouls I think the Deathclaw Gauntletor the Gronack Axe are the perfect weapons to use.

 

I found a combat rifle that fires two projectiles (two bullets) with one trigger pull while only using one per shot, so I have a double damage combat rifle, threw on recon scope and I absolutely destroy with it. Had to turn up difficulty just for that.

 

Instigating 50.cal Silenced Sniper Rifle (2 projectiles)

Maxed out Rifleman, Mr. Sandman, Sneak...the dmg bonus is fantastic!

 

Violent sniper rifle in the .50 flavor is hard to beat. Silenced I can smoke most enemies with 1 shot. Modified 10mm pistol for indoor sneak and combat shotgun for clean up. If you have a bunch of .45 saved up, the double-shot sub-machine gun is great for
massive groups or hard to kill opponents.

 

Explosive Shotgun.

Major damage when you shoot an enemy, plus splash damage to anything nearby.

 

Adding to Experiment 18-A, Le Fusil Terribles, and The Last Minute. I rotate them.

 

i made sure to grab the experiment 18-a this weekend. pretty beast, though i hate using up the ammo!

 

yeah, it's harder to come by, that's for sure. I only use it in an emergency situation. Same with The Last Minute, which uses 2mm EC.
