Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on Minecoins. There is no way of gifting these from the Microsoft store. Personally have seen cards in retail stores for Minecoins. Your best option is to buy them a

gift card for amount you want to spend on Minecoins. Then the person you are buying the Minecoins for can purchase themselves.

I did find the xbox gift card in question. It says on the Microsoft store that you will receive an email with the code that the person you wish to gift it to can input to receive the funds. So I would check if you got the emails

I accidentally purchased a $50 AU digital xbox gift card from EBGames instead of a $50 NZ digital xbox gift card. Completely my mistake, as the only difference between the AU and NZ EBGames websites is the URL. My Microsoft xbox account zone is NZ, so I can't use the AU gift card, and because the gift card is digital, EBGames won't issue a refund, even though they allow you to do this - there are legitimate reasons why you may want to (I contacted them).

Has this happened to anyone else before, and if so, how did you go about getting this rectified?

I originally contacted Microsoft and they said I needed to sort with EBGames. After speaking with EBGames, they said I needed to speak with Microsoft. I've since asked for 2 call backs from Microsoft but haven't received one, hence why I'm posting here.

The way I see it, there are three potential options, but they rely on Microsoft helping me out, and I haven't spoken to Microsoft to see if any of these are feasible:

1. Microsoft refunds me the AU gift card - I can then purchase a NZ one
   
2. Microsoft allows me to purchase a NZ gift card with the AU gift card
   
3. Microsoft cancels the AU gift card and issues me a NZ gift card for free
   

Does anyone else have any ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately none of these are options because:

1. Microsoft wont do this since the gift card wasnt purchased from them.

2. This won't work either because of the regional differences.

3. The card cant be cancelled and they wont issue a free NZ gift card for the same reason as #1. Even if it was purchased from them i dont believe this is something theyd do.

Short of the retailer refunding you or you selling the AU giftcard at a loss to someone else to put towards the correct gift card there isnt really any option that wouldn't involve you just buying the NZ gift card.
