    Best App for 4K movies on Xbox One X


    Hi guys,

    I regularly download movies from a variety of sources and often run into issues when it comes to playing movies that I have downloaded in 4K.

    Typically, VLC player is the most reliable, although feels as though this is becoming increasingly problematic. This is most notable when streaming 4K .mkv files - my xbox simply restarts when opened on VLC player or when I open it using the original Media Player app, the colours are out of whack and there is a green hue over it (forgive my technical ignorance and inept vocabulary!) .

    confused in buying XBox

    Hi, The Xbox One X is the best console for gaming. But it is double the price of an Xbox One S. The X plays games & movies in 4K if supported by them, while the S only shows movies in 4K and games in HDR if supported. Both consoles play all games that are
    available for the Xbox One, just the Xbox One X shows them in much better and smoother.

    Hello,

    Xbox One does not support 4K movies or games.

    Xbox One S, supports 4K movies.

    Xbox One X
    supports 4K games and movies.

    If you have 4K TV I recommend Xbox One X. If you have only Full HD TV, so Xbox One X can switch to Full HD mode. All the more power it can put into games.

    There are over 130 games that are for the Xbox One X.

    I saw it has HDMI 2.0B thingy on this site.

    If say you connect an Xbox One X to your 4K HDTV, you should still be able to:

    1. Download the YouTube and Netflix apps, onto your Xbox One X, and still be able to watch in 4k 60fps?

    2. Use Xbox One X 4k Blu-ray player to watch 4k Blu-ray disc movies in 4k 60fps?

    3. Play games on Xbox One X, in 4k 60fps?

    .... right?

    Xbox one original

    Unfortunately the Original Xbox One do not have any 4K abilities.

    The One S has the ability to watch movies and streaming apps in 4K.

    Only the One X you will be able to play games in 4K, those that has been enhanced for it by the developers.

    The 4K content download for games is to make the transfer of games from the OG One to the One X easier.

    The original Xbox One has no 4K capabilities, but the Xbox One S and Xbox One X can stream video and play games in 4K, but not watch movies in 4K.
