    All,

Im trying to take an interest in things that my son (stepson) likes and he told me he would like to do a father/son stream.

Would it be best to stick with mixer or twitch?

Would we need any other gear?

    thanks in advance.

    :)

There are some great suggestions on this thread, but I would like to add the following:

Followers do not come easy. It is a delicate balance between games that are popular and games that you like to play.

Be fun, have fun and interact

I would start slow and see how well you and your son like streaming.

Start off by using Mixer, since it is very easy to setup and stream, then add-on from there.

    Add-on:

New Camera hooked to the Xbox (Logitech)

Adding a Computer, Elgato HD60s and Streamlabs, moving the camera from the Xbox to the Computer

    Lighting and then Green Screen.

    Hope This helps

    Hi!

The easiest way to stream from Xbox is using the Mixer and the Twitch App on your console.

If you have a decent PC, you can stream your Game using the Xbox App and capture with OBS (Open Broadcast Software). This way you will have more features available, and maybe a little better video quality.

About the streaming platform, the Mixer is good for Xbox Gamers, but Twitch have some good features like Video Clips available for everyone and the clips not expire after 14 days.

    Hope this helps! :)

As well as the excellent suggestions above I would also like to recommend checking out
https://studio.golightstream.com. If you choose to stream directly from your console then that link will make the stream look as though you're streaming through a PC and will give
    you extra features.

yes it really all depends how you are trying to stream you can stream mixer and twitch straight from your xbox you can even plug a webcam into your console to show yourself on stream the downfalls of streaming on console is that you cannot have any type
of alerts on or a green screen but if your just starting out you wont need all that anyway and i would choose mixer in your case because its very simple to stream and you can do co-streams if you are on seperate consoles and mixer provides so many futures
the only gear you would need is a good headset and webcam
