Being scammed out of money by Microsoft over fallout 76

I gave microsoft money for a working game and received no such product. Fallout 76 is so bugged that that it cannot (by any sense of the phrase) be considered as "works as intended" my missions were incompletable, I couldnt connect with friends until mulitple
attempts. My inventory was deleted multiple times. And now microsoft has refused me 4 times for a refund, regardless of me being within the 14 day window, and my only playing the game one time. I dont know if i passed the 2 hour mark and i dont care. The company
literally stole my money and refused to reconcile. Ive owned over 200 different xbox games. A total of 9 xbox consoles. 3 original xbox's, 3 360s, and every version of the xbox one including the x. Ive been with the company since the month the first xbox came
out. Ive never once asked for aagame to be refunded But if I don't get my money back in the blatent stab in the back I will sell every thing I can and go buy a
[Mod Removed - Profanity] playstation.

So my question is this. Is it worth it to you, to lose dedicated fans over 1 transaction when you are so clearly in the wrong?

Microsoft store

I'm trying to preorder Fallout 76 from the Microsoft store on xbox and it keeps telling me it cant process my payment and I know I have enough money for the preorder.

I understand your frustration but really this has more to do with Bethesda than Microsoft as they developed the game. You can always reach out to Microsoft billing if you bought the game digitally and want a refund. However, your best bet is to voice your
frustration on the official dev forums or social.

 

When you have discussed this with the refund request system, have you submitted your incidents/bug reports/etc. to indicate your problems with the software? Many others have no issues, but that is not to say you aren't having them.

 

The developer clearly issued notice prior to launch that the game will have issues during the first few weeks of launch. Anyone who was following the launch of the game and played the beta should have been aware of the open letter to the community prior
to launch.

I assume your refund was declined as even though you state your inside the 14 day window. You played over the 2 hours permitted for a refund to be considered. These are similar to the rules over on the playstation store and steam.

Insofar as disputing any denials of refunds, you would need to reply directly to the email you received to do so and it would take an additional 48 hours to review and reply to you from their end. Refunds are taken on a case-by-case basis and on the status
of your account, refund history, etc. The refund request webform is the only way to request a refund at this time and if you do contact Xbox Billing Support directly, they will direct you to fill it out as well.

If anything, you can always contact Bethesda directly to let them know of the difficulties you've had with the game itself and may also wish to ask for a refund from that quarter as well.

To be fair, the other console has the exact same return policy, if anything it's more stringent as you can't refund after the title is downloaded.

I feel for you, I had the taledo error, fixed it, still wouldn't work, I also was refused a refund. Notice how the game is $35 or less on amazon now. Microsoft probably had to refund too many of bethesda's games. Not good business. You can try, but I was
denied 3 times and all I could play was a title screen. So...
