Being charged for what should be free.

So the issue I am having is I watched E3 and saw Microsoft's press conference and one video was announcing tekken 7. at the end they announced tekken tag tournament 2 to be FREE to all xbox gold members all this week as of 6/13/2016

here is the video from E3 at 3:40 of this video they announce tekken tag tournament 2 FREE to gold members.

this is what happened when I went on my xbox

1. turned on xbox and went to home page

2. found the #xboxE3 page and clicked it

3. on the #xboxE3 page I went to the page titled "betas, free games, and demos"

4. I was then on that page where there was more pages "halo wars 2 open beta, Free Game: limbo, Free game: tekken tag tournament 2, play the demo, DOOM, and 20+ EA games free with gold" I went to the tekken page.

5. I ended up on the tekken tag tournament 2 backwards compatible xbox one store page. But the buy now button just said "show price" so I clicked it.

6. It is asking what my payment option is so I can be charged $19.99 plus tax

so I'm trying to figure out WHY its charging me when it should be free? Yes. I am a gold member and it wont expire till early next year so that is not even slightly an issue, I have been talking on the phone with customer support since about 3pm and it is
now almost 6pm and the issue has yet to be resolved!

Changing my gamertag

I am trying to change my gamertag for the first time, which should be free, but I'm being charged. I was told by support to make a post about it, so I hope this works

 

it wont allow me to tack any pictures on but I do have photos of those steps I listed to prove that its on the xbox one store.

 

It should be free now, it took a little while before the store updated

 

still not for me, its trying to charge me $19.99 but my friend just got it this morning for free!

It's free for gold members. Since you don't have gold it is charging you.

 

You aren't a gold member you are silver or free if you are part of home gold only the account with the gold can queue xbox 360 games with gold games or as home gold doesn't carry over to xbox 360

 

Cannot download So Many Me, a Free with Gold Games, even though I have the license. I cannot redownload it with my account without purchasing it again. Even when I go on the Xbox site it tells me "already purchased," and I can't redownload it despite it
not being available for download in my games and apps. Went through a whole support phone call with all the standard steps (deleting account, redownloading it, searching the game on the marketplace, etc.) - before I click on the game it says "owned" but afterwards
tells me to pay $14.99+ for it. I don't want to purchase a game that I have already purchased, especially when I know I owned it since I deleted it off my hard drive previously... Please help ASAP regarding this issue.

Yes, it simply isn't in the "ready to be installed" tab, despite my ownership of the game, and wants me to purchase it again.

 

Works now - downloading for free.

 

Now it's doing it with Dark Souls. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I BOUGHT this game with money, and I can't even download it off the store - it has NO option to, and now it's not in my ready to be installed.

 

Now I cannot play ANY of my backwards compatible games, as it asks me if I own them, which I do. I will not uninstall them and try to reinstall, for a fear of being unable to do so, such as with Dark Souls 1. Why is this happening with ALL of them?
