I have ensured that both the console itself and the xbox app are up-to-date (rechecked multiple times), but the app persists in giving me the error of "Can't stream because either the xbox app or your console needs to be updated. Make sure they're both up
to date and try again" when I go to test streaming..

I've taken these steps and the issue has not resolved. I believe the issue is within the Xbox App, not the console. I can stream from the console to YouTube or Twitch without any issues but encounter freezing and black screens when exiting or entering full screen in the Xbox App when streaming to my PC from the console through the Xbox App.

We will be able to stream to Twitch on Tuesday, 11th of March. Microsoft has been doing in house testing of the service as Major Nelson has been streaming everyday. Some things they must test by themselves unfortunately. :/

Just a tip, to receive a notification on your console when one of your friends starts streaming, make sure to (have them as a friend ) and set them as a favorite.

o yea a case review too bad whenever I try I get tested on the policies of live and then get limited tries. so when I mess up because I don't study the terms and agreements I can't try again for a whole day. great

So I have tried the to do both, but the power center option wasn't activating for me for some reason, but I did do the console reset. It seemed to work for a little bit but I'm afraid that the problem still exsists, I did a short test stream to see if the problem was rectified but the console hard crash after I ended the stream to try and increase the bit rate of the stream. But this crash was 3 mins more than the previous 5 mins that had happened when this problem was becoming noticeable.

I should probably mention, I only had the console for at least a day at this point after ordering it online. My apologies for not mentioning that before.
