    I have recently set my Xbox One X back up and started downloading some games to my external HD. On searching for an old Xbox 360 game that I have already purchased (Heavy Weapon) I am always taken to the purchased screen where I have to pay £7.99. I was
    a little confused by this so I checked up on my achievements and found that I indeed have unlocked some achievements.

    Does anybody have any idea how I can get my download back to install or is this a situation where I would have to re-purchase the game?

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

    Usually this error comes about when a game was purchased on another account, which is common for backwards compatible games since the games originally released a long time ago and account changes can be made over time. Did you purchase this game as a disc
    in the 360 days? That could be why you have achievements on the account.

    First, I recommend going over your Microsoft Account's
    order history     to verify your purchase and ownership of this game. You may have to use the date filter to go back to whenever you believe you purchased this game on the account you are using on your Xbox One X.

    If you can't find the completed transaction in your order history then you will need to purchase it again.

    As long as you're signed in to the account that you purchased the game on then you should be able to download it without buying it again. Is it listed under the ready to install section of your games and apps?

    Check under Ready to Install in your Games and Apps. If you are signed into the account that purchased it, you can install it from there. Otherwise you would need to make sure you are signed into the account that purchased it. Having achievements on a game
    does not necessarily mean you own the game.

    Thanks for the reply! If you've hidden some games on your ready to install list, you may wish to un-hide them on the off-chance that your game will appear. Here's how to Hide
    or unhide items in Ready to Install    :

    To unhide items, go to My games & apps, press and hold the left stick on your controller, and then press the
    X button. To re-hide an item, repeat these steps.

    I hope that this helps a bit more.

    Are you sure the purchase was made with your xbox account? I've been in a situation where i thought i purchased the game only to find out my little brother did with his account on my xbox.
