Battlefield: Bad Company 2/3?

Skipped over this game because of deployments out to sea. Finally purchased it and played for a few hours just yesterday.

Out of all Battlefield games, this is my favorite. I don't understand why developers steered away from these characters and destruction based gameplay. They need to come out with Bad Company 3 already!

Dunno which ones are necessary but those are what I have.

The Bad Company series is okay, I enjoyed the destruction elements and the main characters are more interesting than the average heroes in these sort of games, but nothing stood out as particular great to me. I played both the first and second Bad Company
games once and that was enough for me.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that DICE hasn't forgotten about the series and want to make another but due to other commitments (Mirror's Edge 2 & Star Wars: Battlefront) they aren't actively developing Bad Company 3.

 

If a bc3 comes out it needs a Vietnam expansion.

 

Bad Company 2 was a breath of fresh air for me at the time in regards to the multiplayer. I know it's nothing like it, but it reminded me of Call of Duty 4's multiplayer as CoD's had started to spiral out of control by that time.

Thinking about it, this was the last military shooter I loved playing online and got close to max rank etc. I would jump into number 3 straight away if it ever came about.

Obviously the single player left a lot to be desired though, haha.

 

I think IGN has an article right now about why they aren't working on BC3. They said that they don't know what in particular made people love the Bad Company games. Until they figure that out they don't want to make the game for fear that they could ruin
the franchise.

 

What I love about Bad Company in particular is that it's a more realistic war shooter. Being able to destroy what ever and go where ever is what sets it apart from every other typical shooter.

The only other great shooter next to Bad Company is Red Faction. Another amazing game that needs another sequel very soon.

I loved bad comp 1 and 2 I rly do this that dice needs to make a 3rd bad comp game

 

I also prefer the bad company games to vanilla battlefield. I would much prefer if BFBC3 came out instead of BF Hardline. The beta for that was really disappointing.
