Battery issue on Xbox One controller?

    Good afternoon mates,

I've purchased today a second hand (but barely new) Xbox One controller for playing on my PC. It came with Wireless adaptor and a couple of AA batteries. I've tried it and everything worked perfectly. Later, I've purchased the official battery kit (Play
and Charge in English, I guess). I've left it charging with the official USB connector for two hours. Then, I've installed through XBOX app on Win10 the external app to set up and check my controller, and it said that it was full battery. It was quite strange,
because the indicator LED was already on orange.

I've played it a couple of hours, and the program is still saying that I have full battery (something strange, in my opinion). I've done a visual inspection, and I see that's some kind of PCB witch isn't in parallel of the battery charger... I'll post a
    photo too.

What's going wrong? Some weird thing with the controller? The other guy who sold me played with normal AA batteries... Could have it crashed something inside of it? Is some kind of driver issue? I'm confused... I can't even send the vibration order through
    Xbox Accessories app...

    Thanks in advance.

Xbox one controller says it's connected but isn't working

To resolve this issue, determine the faulty component and then replace that component:

    The Xbox One Wireless Controller

To troubleshoot the wireless controller, try using AA batteries, or try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack to verify that nothing is wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, it isn't causing the issue.

The Xbox One Play & Charge cable

To check whether the cable is the problem, try a different Play & Charge cable (or any standard USB to micro-USB cable) to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different cable, your charge cable is faulty.

    The rechargeable battery

To troubleshoot the rechargeable battery, try the following:

Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Then try to charge the battery again.

Try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, your original battery is faulty.

Battery issue on Xbox One controller?

Depends on how the other guy really took care of the controller just know that when you purchase a second hand accessories you do so at your own risk. Try any local service in your area if you can get it fixed

    the charging station is strange

    Hello gamer,

This behavior can occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:

. The battery has reached the charge limit.

. There may be an issue with the charge cable.

. There may be an issue with the battery.

    Things to try:

    1. Determine the part of the recharging system that may be causing the issue.

    Controller

Try AA batteries or try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to verify that there is nothing wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, the controller is not causing the issue.

    Charge cable

Try a different Xbox 360 Play and Charge cable to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different charge cable, the original charge cable is faulty.

    Rechargeable battery

    a. Use a cotton swab and some alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller.

    b. Try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, the original battery is faulty.

    Xbox one play and charge

Hey there, can you troubleshoot the 3 components as showed below to determine what is the source of the issue? One may need replacing.

    Solution

To resolve this issue, determine the faulty component and then replace that component:

    • The Xbox One Wireless Controller

To troubleshoot the wireless controller, try using AA batteries, or try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack to verify that nothing is wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, it isn't causing the issue.
    • The Xbox One Play & Charge cable

To check whether the cable is the problem, try a different Play & Charge cable (or any standard USB to micro-USB cable) to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different cable, your charge cable is faulty.
    • The rechargeable battery

      • Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Then try to charge the battery again.
      • Try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, your original battery is faulty.

    Rechargeable batteries

But then if it;s the wrong battery pack, it shoudn't work with either controller ...the fact it works in one but not the other points to an issue with the second controller

The Xbox One Venom battery pack won't even fit in the Series X controller (or at least not without trimming bits off it)..as the OP can fit the pack with no issue, it suggests it's the right battery pack. Unless Venom have released more than one battery pack for the Series X?
