Banned

Hello I recently signed in on my xbox account and I have been banned for about an hour now. I have made a case review and am still awaiting an answer. Xbox said that I theft robbery the xbox marketplace and have made group post about asking for peoples account
info. I have proof I havent commited any crime and would like my account back please and thank you

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

What happens to your games if you get banned on an XB One

that is the same as it is now, if you manage to break the rules so badly its a lifetime account ban you loose everything jn that account.

for a modified console its the console that is banned, I think you have to involved in active game code hacking or account phishing or other be involved in nasty completely ruin live for others areas to get a perm ban for your actual gamer account, hey are never clear on why accounts are banned tho

Since you submitted as case review, you'll have to wait for them to respond. Keep in mind their decision will be final at that point.

 

Just an example of what could be construed as marketplace theft

1. Say you borrowed a friends credit/debit card one time to pay for xbox live because you were short that month and didnt realize that it was going to auto renew or didnt change the billing option back to yours before it renewed and your friends card was
charged again the next time your subscription renewed. Your friend then either tries to call Microsoft because they see a charge on the card they dont recognize and its not on their xbox account. For security purposes MS is not going to tell them what account
the charge was done on the only thing they would be able to do is remove the card from the account and tell your friend that they would need to dispute the charge with their financial institution. If your friend then goes to their financial institution and
disputes the charge and MS is then what is called charged back which means MS would have to give the money back to the bank who would then give it to your friend. That is what MS would consider as Marketplace theft they see it as a way of skirting around the
refund policy.

It would not necessarily have to be a subscription:

Say you purchased a digital game and didnt like the game and called MS and they told you that all sales are final and there is no refunds so you go to your bank and dispute the charge as fraudulent they would look at that as marketplace theft.

These are just some of the examples that MS could look at as Marketplace theft

As far as you talking to someone trying to steal their information I do not know anything about that and that would be handled by the enforcement team.
