    Banned Xbox one


    i bought my xbox one second hand about 3 weeks ago for my 11 year old son , it was working perfectly until today when he came across a message saying hes been console banned!! obviously they wrongfully banned it as im sure an 11 year old boy could do absolutely
    nothing wrong. wondering where i can go to speak to someone to try get it unbanned , any help is appreciated

    It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

    Banned Xbox one

    This is one of the downsides of buying a 2nd hand console. If your son didnt do anything then its possible whatever was done to cause the system to get banned was done by the previous owner of the console. Console bans are not given right away due to the
    time it takes to investigate violations of the code conduct.

    What could have happened is the person who last owned the console got reported for something serious and the enforcement team likely just got to investigating the report and decided to ban the console due to evidence found in the report (which would have
    pointed to said console).

    Unfortunately console bans are never reversed regardless of changed in ownership of the console. That is the risk you take in purchasing 2nd hand consoles.

    No one but the enforcement team deals with bans and the only way to reach them is by filing for a case review. However console bans are not eligible for case review.

    You would need to deal with whoever the console was purchased from at this point to get then to exchange the console for you. That would be your only real option at this point. Most places have a 30 day return policy.

    So I was recently banned on a different account. i have 2 accounts on my xbox 360 console my other account and this account. is it possible if i get an xbox one and login through this account and not get banned or will i get banned on the xbox one if i login
    with this account since it was on the xbox banned console i have when it got banned

    Profile Problem

    Is one of the consoles banned from Xbox Live? You can't move profiles or saved games from a banned console to a non-banned one; they'll show as corrupt.

    Device bans are not issued lightly, and occur when a particular Xbox console or Xbox on Windows device is used to violate the Code of Conduct in an egregious or repeated manner. Once a device ban occurs, no account can connect to the Xbox Live service from
    the affected device. Given the severity of this action we take each device ban extremely seriously, and only take action after a lengthy investigation.

    Upon receiving a device ban, any account that attempts to sign in to the Xbox Live service will receive a notification. The specific content of the notification depends on the type of device that received the ban.

    Xbox One:

    “Your console is banned. This console has been banned for Terms of Use violations. To protect the Xbox service and its members, Microsoft does not provide details about specific console bans. For more information out console bans, visit xbox.com/xboxone/consoleban.”

    You can't file a case review for this sever ban and there is no one you can contact.

    Please note that banning an Xbox console or Xbox on Windows device does not disrupt the underlying functionality of the device, and it can continue to be used offline following the ban. For more information about using Xbox One offline, visit xbox.com/offline.
