Banned for apparently phishing/stealing accounts

First I was communication banned for 2 weeks then months after that I have gotten banned permanently. I literally haven’t played for 3-4 months I hop back on and notice I was banned for no reason. Tried to appeal it and it was no luck. I’m not sure what kind of scandal that has gotten me into but I have not done no such thing. Literally was chilling on apex with the boys and I got banned 2 hours after game time. Who can just wrongfully ban people like that? What’s the reasoning behind it? What you get a raise or something?

Unfortunately, the only way to appeal a ban is to use the enforcement site to submit a case review. This gets sent to the Xbox Enforcement team who review the appeal and decide whether the suspension/ban stands for your account. If they have made the decision to uphold their enforcement action, there is nothing more you can do.

In terms of the reason, it may have been something you have done a while back that has only just been flagged or reported. They do have a topic for phishing here: Xbox Enforcement | Stay Safe

That may give you some insight into what they could have seen on your account.

Wake up!! You guys got more important stuff to watch out for instead of wrongfully banning random people. Go do some scavenging and look at ‘Looking for Group’ posts and tell me what you see.

If you see something that breaks the Code of Conduct, please make sure you report it. By doing this, it alerts the team to this so they can review the complaint and take action. All complaints are reviewed and are taken seriously.

People saying ‘mod menu $$$’ like how do they not get banned? Makes no sense. Yet you just let it slide people lose money cause of lack of security, lack of work, lack of staff. Banning the wrong types of people makes customers question.

I have come across folk who have had their accounts banned because they have used mod menus. When the enforcement team notice folk using hacks or modded content which hasn't been authorised, they do get banned. What I have noticed, also, is that folk who use mod menus don't tend to tell people how many Xbox consoles they have had to buy, or accounts they have had to create. Nor does the Xbox Enforcement team make public that people have been banned or have received an Enforcement action. But rest assured that they are noticed eventually.

However, this is mostly down to folk reporting them as Xbox is a large network.

But thats not what he was banned for he was banned for phishing and or stealing accounts something he did not do if he was banned for gamesharing then that would have been something else entirely

This is almost certainly phishing scam, aka someone is trying to steal your account and you can safely ignore it. Enforcement doesn’t threaten, they just ban.

Please report the account and message that sent it so they can investigate

Its definitely a scam it looks like a phishing attempt to get live id's and steal accounts.
