    My nephew has once again had his account and xbox banned.

    Due to problems at home he has been living in hotel for the last 3 weeks and has not been anywhere near his Xbox.

    The only other person who lives at the address is his 79 year old grandmother and she doesn't even know how to turn it on.

    So far he has twice had to buy a new xbox because of this happening in the past.

    There is no way for me to contact Microsoft and this is absolutely rediculous.

    His ban is for cheating and as I said above he has not had access to his xbox for nigh on 3 weeks.

    I can't submit an appeal as he can no longer log into his account and I can't do it via my account because there is no option to do it!

    The only information he has been given is that the ban is for cheating but how can this happen if he has not used the xbox??

    He uses the microsoft authenticator app and I have asked him if his account has been hacked and he doesn't think it has been.

    I'm the muppet who tries to sort this out for him but I can't because there is no way for me to contact the enforcement team.

    I can't get a call back from support as they will only call you back on a landline and here in the UK I have full fibre broadband and I no longer have a landline!

    I'm probably wasting my time with this but I just can't seem to get any help whatsover.

    Why have i been banned for checking on my other accounts that i haven’t used in awhile??

    An appeal would be for an account ban, not a console ban. Account bans and console bans are separate so it would be possible to have the account ban lifted if the enforcement team determined they made a mistake.

    There are different kinds of bans an account ban and a console ban. The account ban which a communication ban is will follow your account it is not tied to the console so yes it would follow you to the One.

    Hi! if it's a console ban, the account is not affected by the ban. If it's an account ban, you'll have to open a new account.

    A console ban will not do anything to your account. Harassment is more likely to cause his account to be permanently banned rather than a console ban. But if there is a console ban it does not ban the accounts on the console.

    no their accounts are not account banned.

    As you say they arealso banned on the forums if their account is banned. For them to post on any forum including "my xbox account was suspended", they need to create a new account, and refer to the banned gamertag in their post.

    so in this case, their gamertags are not banned, because they can use their gamertags here.
