    So, my friend used two $15 gift cards and he redeemed them both. In his balance it says $30 but when he proceeds to buy a game it only shows that he has $15. Are there any tips to solve this??

    Balance problem

    Sometimes you might have to wait 24 hours for the correct balance amount to show up. Or you can go into an xbox 360 game that has the option to visit the xbox marketplace. Find some dlc to buy. When it wants you to confirm the purchase there should
    be an option to change payment type. From there you should see your actual account balance. Exit out the xbox 360 game and go back to the xbox store to see if the ammount has corrected.

    You would need to sign in at account.live.com and go to services and subscriptions and take care of the past due from that website.

    Unfortunately due to how the website is made, I can't give you a direct link, you must go through the support page and click other options and get to see "chat with xbox support". All of those links go to the same support people so it doesn't matter which
    one you get to.

    Also, if you got money from, let's say a Microsoft promotion, that money does have an expiration date.
