Bad Company 2 disk won't play

So last night I decided to put my Battlefield Bad Company 2 disc into my Xb1 and install it and the game ran fine, but now today it keeps bringing up the blu ray player when I put the disc in and it won't read it. What gives?

They won't bring this back, let it die out with grace and peace. Just play as much Bad Company 1 and 2 while those are still playable.

Then you have Battlefield Heroes and BF Play4Free but I'm only making a time line for the on disk versions.

 

Sounds like the xbox isn't reading the disc properly. Try cleaning the disc.

 

Clean the Disc, If It doesn't so do a Power Cicle on your Xbox and check If It works

 

Neither worked sadly. I took a closer look at the disc and it looks like there are a bunch of cracks in the central ring so I think it might be dead.

If the disc is very scratched, it will probably need to be replaced. You can follow these steps to try to remove scratches:

1) Rinse the disc and clean it with a soft cloth (microfiber);

2) Apply the toothpaste on surface of the disc;

3) Let it dry for 5 minutes;

4) Rinse and clean the disc;

5) Make sure the disk is perfectly clean and then insert it into the console.
