Backwards Compatible Games

Dear Xbox, Alright so I know you guys need to make money somehow right? But I don’t see a reason why players should have to buy the same $59.99 game that they already bought on the xbox 360, specifically gta 5. If the Xbox team is able to make gta 4 backwards
compatible why isn’t possible to make gta 5 backwards compatible. I’ve been trying to wait these last few months out, and hopefully see this game that a lot of people love, be added to the list of games that are backwards compatible. I’m simply asking you
the Xbox team, If it would be possible to work on making this game(GTA 5).

With xbox one backwards compatible games accessories are not compatible. Also only a few games are backwards compatible with more coming

It's mostly up to the publisher's as to whether a game is made backwards compatible or not. So it's not just up to Microsoft.

 

May I add that to just bring one Xbox 360 game to the Xbox One takes literally months of hard work. Each game has to be reverse engineered from it's original IBM PowerPC based 32-bit code to 64-bit Intel X86 based code that the Xbox One consoles understand.
Then, they have to be tested for performance and errors. Just because GTA IV is BC, doesn't mean GTA V becomes an easy win for the BC team, assuming Rockstar agree of course. If Rockstar want to keep GTV for the Xbox One only, Microsoft can't do anything
about it.

It's not all about the money - it's about approvals and resources. Actually a number of games that are already on the Xbox One as re-masters have had there 360 version made BC, Call of Duty Modern Warfare being a recent example.
