Backwards compatible disc games losing verification offline

    Hi,

I'm planning to move to rural South Africa with my Xbox One. I won't have intenet there, so I've been installing and updating all my games to go offline for an undetermined amount of time with.

This includes digital and physical Xbox One and digital and physical backwards compatible Xbox 360 games.

I have been testing all games by going offline a few weeks after setup aforementioned, but am finding the physical Xbox 360 disc-based games are no longer working offline.

If the discs are inserted while offline, I receive the error message "The game is not playable here (0x8082000c)".

If an installed game is selected to play from My games and & apps whilst the disc is in the console, I receive the error message: "Please connect to Xbox live (0x87dd001e)".

Finding the disc icon from the dashboard, it only displays a blank "Install Disc" icon. If selected, I receive the error messge 0x8082000c again.

Digitally owned games are working fine offline.

This console is set as my home Xbox.

What gives? I feel like I have to buy all my physical Xbox 360 games again digitally just to secure their functionality offline.

    :)

  2. Backwards Compatible Disc Games - Lag Every 15 Minutes

It happens on the offline mode of COD as well. But it's obviously not a network issue because it only occurs on disc-based Backward Compatible titles, whether it is Call of Duty: Black Ops, Left 4 Dead 2, or Gears of War 3. But all my digital Backward Compatible
games, my digital Xbox One games (including other Call of Duty titles), and my disc-based Xbox One games work perfectly fine. It goes without saying that network issues do not affect such a specific type of games, in this case, disc-based Backward Compatible
    titles.

Also, I now found two friends with identical issues, where they lag every 15 minutes on disc-based Backward Compatible titles, but on nothing else. I'm starting to think this is a bigger issue which needs addressing on Xbox's part through some sort of update,
but after spending over 10 hours with Support, I've nearly given up because nobody from Xbox is willing to take responsibility for the issue.

  3. backwards compatibility of xbox 360 games on xbox one on disc

I got loads of xbox 360 games on cd rom disc and they are not working for backwards compatibility even though these games are on the official list of backwards compatible games. What is wrong? I read online that xbox 360 games on disc are also supposed
to be backwards compatible with xbox one.

Xbox one not reading g 360 disc

Is the disc for a backwards compatible xbox360 game as only discs for backwards compatible games will register.

Xbox 360 games backwards compatible with Xbox OneS

    Hi there,

you will need an internet connection in order to Install these games, the games won't be run from the disc, but backward compatible versions will be downloaded and installed. You will require the disc to play the games after they were installed though.

Also since you are offline your console could also need an update itself to make backward compatibility work.

See this link for more information:

    Backwards compatible games not appearing

The 360 version of Skyrim is not backwards compatible. You'll want to check https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility to see if the other games you're missing are backwards compatible or not. Anything on disc would just need you to put the disc in the console.

    Reverse confusion

Just make sure that your console is connected to Xbox Live when you are trying to install a backwards compatible game, even from disc, as all backwards compatible games need to be downloaded, not installed from disc.

Also it is up to the developers of games to decide if a particular title is made Backwards compatible or not, feel free to reach out to them and ask about making their game(s) backwards compatible too.

    Kinect/xbox one/xbox series x

On the Series X? No, it's not possible, as they are not backward compatible. On the Xbox One, you will be able to play offline if you have the games on disc. If they are digital downloads of the game, then you will need to stay logged in to Xbox Live on the Xbox One while playing those games.
