Backwards compatibility & Username change.

We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you can no longer play backward compatible games on 360 emulators after you change username. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.

• When you launch a 360 game, have you pressed the View and Menu button at the same time on the controller to bring up the 360 dash and signed in that way?
  

• When you start up a backwards compatible game, bring up the 360 Guide by pressing the Menu and View buttons at the same time. From the guide, select Download Profile. Enter your credentials to redownload the profile and have your Gamertag change reflected on 360 as well as the One.
  

• Have you tried removing then adding back your profile?
  

• A reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues. Just a heads-up, you must know all your gamertag sign-in info, follow the steps here on How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One

I assume you're playing it backwards compat? if so, it was just for compatibility. Nothing changed.

It would be great if the Xbox one was backwards compatible, thing is, the console is already out and they aren't going to rebuild the console to include backwards compatibility. Plus I heard it costs a lot of money to make it backwards compatible.

Petitions aren't going to work, Microsoft will not change their mind about this.

There are a lot of factors that come into play when making a game backward compatible. The main one is the developers allowing it to become backward compatible. So if the developer is not around any longer or has changed names or merged it is hard to get
the game backward compatible. You may message the developer of the game and let them know that you want it to become backward compatible.
