    backwards compatibility update issues.


    Hi, since the backwards compatibility update a couple of weeks ago, I have been unable to play any of my 360 disc games on my Series X. I had no trouble playing previously backwards compatible discs, and did so frequently. Now, not one single 360 disc game works.
    I tested the drive for dvd issues by playing dvd movies and no problem there. I also tested the games in my XBOX OneX, and they did work there. But then a few days later, presumably after the update was delivered to my OneX, they also no longer work on the OneX either. Not one single 360 disc game. I've checked that all online services are available, reset booth systems, reset modem etc. And Nothing.
    Please help?!

    If it's not backward compatible then it's not backward compatible and never will be as they stopped updating the emulator years ago. The only Robotech game that is backward compatible is Battlecry.

    Xbox originals games come up with "the game couldn't start. try downloading again"

    Some games just had an update that had to be downloaded, but it wasn't a specific backwards compatibility update. At this point, all consoles have the backwards compatibility update like dave said.

    That's right, the last update was November 2007 and Robotech: Battlecry was the only one to be included in the BC list.
