  2. Help me understand this article about Xbox One.

    Hi guys
Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One with Disney and Warner Bros. Games [IMG]

Can someone Help me understand this article about Xbox One:

    In the article, it says:

"Backwards compatibility will be available this November with support from Microsoft Studios-published games — which means backwards compatibility for Halo, Gears of War, Fable, Crackdown, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Kameo and Mass Effect — but also leading third-party publishers, including the ones listed below.

    The list includes:

    • Bandai Namco
    • Bethesda
    • Deep Silver
    • Disney
    • Majesco
    • Electronic Arts
    • Sega
    • Square Enix
    • 2K
    • Capcom
    • Ubisoft
    • Koei Tecmo
    • Codemasters
    • Warner Bros Interactive"
Does this mean that any game made by those companies will have backwards comparability ?

Official list of BC games when XOE launches?

Microsoft Studios published games would be on the list. From memory Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft, Warner Bros and Namco Bandai could have games on this list also.

Activision has no interest making any of there games backwards compatible unless they have changed there tune.

I understand what you're trying to say, but again Microsoft has absolutely nothing to do with this, Warner Bros. makes all of these decisions, and once again every game that can legally and technically be made backwards compatible has been. It's not going to do you any good because the team that can make it happen is no longer working on Xbox 360

You need to petition Warner Bros. to do a formal reissue of the game, and that is all you can do.

    Disney Infinity.

    Hi stevibennett,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. Regarding the game

    Disney Infinity
, it is not listed as being part of the
    backward compatibility list
for Xbox One per our support article entitled Xbox One backward compatibility FAQ.

    However, the
    Disney Infinity 2.0
    &
    Disney Infinity 3.0
games do have versions for the Xbox One console that are available to purchase for the platform since the Xbox 360 versions are not backward compatible for those titles as well.

I hope that this information helps out!
