    Backwards compatibility on original Xbox One


    Hello,

    So the other day I tried to re-install Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my xbox but instead recieved an error message (0x87e10012). It says the game isnt compatible yet it was working a couple of weeks ago and is an Xbox one title. Ive tried a factory reset, power
    cycle, and cleared my cache. Is there something else Im missing or this just an error?

    Is it safe to assume that Microsoft will not add backwards-compatibility for regular XBox games (not 360)?

    I would NOT assume that Microsoft will not add backwards compatibility for the original Xbox to the Xbox One. This type of backwards compatibility is technically feasible. It would just cost Microsoft money and time to build it. If you want Microsoft to
    build it the best thing you can do is ask them to :)
