Backwards Compatibility for Halo Games

Why does Halo Reach work on Xbox One but not Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4. Can we get some BC support for these 2.

Check if the 360 games you use are part of the backward compatibility list:

and if the game discs are damaged

They where, the one I'm mainly anoyed about is Halo reach.

Hello there,

Unfortunately Halo 3 (including ODST) and Halo 4 are not yet supported for Backwards Compatability. The good news is that games are being added every now and then, so don't fret if the games there are not yet supported as they are likely to be supported
soon enough.

You also might not see backwards compatibility released for Halo 3 and 4 due to the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. You can, however, visit the Xbox Feedback site and vote for titles you would wish to be made backwards compatible.

It will be backwards compatible to some extent. I mean it's safe to say that huge games such as Halo and Gears of War will be backwards compatible.

According to this link the first Halo in the series is only backwards compatible with disc and not digital

They must also write the backward compatibility code for each game separately. This process takes some time. They have not stated specifically when Halo Wars will become backwards compatible; however, I suspect that it will be closer to the release of Halo
Wars 2.
