    Backwards Compatibility broken? 0x8082000c


    Backwards Compatibility broken? Every supposedly backwards compatible game I've tried keeps throwing this error code 0x8082000c. There troubleshooting FAQ doesn't offer any information except to check the list which I've done 6 times already, and the error
    code look up tool doesn't even recognize this error message.

    Hi Bluemoon,

    in future please keep backwards compatibility related questions to the preview forums! As for your question only North American (and some region free) discs are currently supported in the preview program.

    Backwards compatibility

    I have the common error code 0x8082000c for Borderlands GOTY copy. Nothing I have found helps this issue. I keep seeing people request help but find no answers on these boards from Xbox support. What do I need to do since I bought a brand new Xbox One S
    with the promise of being able to play games on the backwards compatibility list.

    Yes, (0x8082000c), just the standard one that says this disc is not backwards compatible for full list see... but the games are definitely on the list and I've played and installed them on the console previously fine without error

    Trying to install Prince of Persia from disc and get error code (0x8082000c), "This game is not playable here". PoP is on the backwards compatible games list though. Any ideas what causes this and what could be done to get it fixed?

    I decided not to try pulling the hard drive and formatting and have tried every other suggestion I can find (including the console reset and offline update)

    I might try calling Microsoft directly and speaking to their support when I have time.
