    Backwards Compatibility and 3D mode


    Hey Xbox Community!

    I hope you can help me out with this one:

    I love that Ghost Recon Future Soldier is now a backwards compatible title on Xbox One but I'm seriously missing the option to play it in stereoscopic 3D like I did on the 360 but I cannot activate it on my Xbox One.

    I read from other people that they can 360 games through backwards compatibility in 3D (like Assassin's Creed 3) without problems.

    My Xbox settings allow to use 3D features and it works flawless with movies, but I want to enjoy the 3D mode of GRFS with the new hardware.

    Is there anything I can do or is 3D not possible with backwards compatibility?

    Not all games are backward compatible. You'll need to check the game itself to see if it's supported in backward compatibility mode.

    Friend request from xbox1

    Talk them into playing a backward compatible 360 game from XBOX1 then they be in the backward compatibility mode. Then when playing tell them to send ya friend request again on 360 mode. Will work. I did that.

    Avatar the game, Captain, America, Thor, Batman Arkham game of the year, and Iron Man for 360 I believe all support 3D output. Avatar is even natively compatible with earlier DLP 3D systems using checkerboard

    Rocket Riot on Windows 10 also supports 3D

    I will tell you it’s not great. The 360 didn’t really have enough juice to render two eyes at once so most of these games sort of takes it with pixel shifting like the fake 3D mode on your projector.

    Alan Wake on PC only, had spectacular 3D, but NVIDIA no longer supports it, you’ll need to install an old driver

    None of these are backwards compatible, and I’m not sure the 3D would work with the Xbox One video drivers

    Sorry, COD BO3 is not Backwards compatible and probably will not be Backwards compatible since there is a Xbox One version of the game that is much more detailed and has more options and a campaign mode.
