    Backwards compatable games not streaming to Android Companion


    I honestly don't remember how long ago (months?) but I used to be able to stream my Backwards compatable games like FF XIII from my XBox to my phone, and android on Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Since then, Ive been able to stream, no problem, no reason to get
    concerned and try FF XIII. But I just got an XBox Series X and figured Id test out the streaming. I was just playing FF XIII through my Office TV and figured, why not?

    Right away I get:

    "Sorry, We can't launch this - FINAL FANTASY XIII can't be used while streaming. (0x87e10004)"

    I found the following thread here on this forum indicating the exact issue, except on Windows.

    Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? Is there a fix?

    Got it, Abrile. Xbox Console Companion on PC and Xbox app on android is not compatible with Xbox 360. Apps that were compatible with the Xbox 360 have been discontinued.

    Yes it does.

    I've streamed multiple backwards compatible games using Mixer

    This should also work for the original Xbox games that will be backwards compatible end of the year into next

    I have the My Xbox Live App. but I don't think it is compatible with Xbox Companion to use your phone as your controller. My question is, is it compatible with Android?

    PlayStation Now is not backwards compatibility, its a streaming service. Backwards compatibility would be playing your old discs on the new system. MS never said they couldn't stream through the cloud but said it is problematic.
