    *Backwards compatability issue*


    Yeah, so lots of people have already had this issue.You go to games for gold to get the free backwards compatability game (in my case rainbow six vegas 2) you press show price then confirm but then loads and comes up with the message your account cant
    make this type of purchase from xbox.com. Yes im not actually on the website im on my xbox one so this shoudn't happen, right? is there any way to solve this issue please tell me thanks...!!!

    Notes:

    i have a child account but with all adult permissions, i have a valid payment option,i definately have a gold subscription.

    Xbox One, destined for failure

    So backwards compatability is a big issue when from what we know the PS4 "backwards compatability" is just the ability to buy the games in a digital format that will work on the new console, hmm.

    Until the child account is migrated to an adult account at the age of majority for the region you are in, you won't be able to download the content. The game is rated M for mature in the US and designated for 17+ years old and above. Other regions may be
    more restrictive.

    There isn't any way around except to use an adult account. The only people having this issue are people trying to download an M rated game with a child account so the system is working as intended.

    The only other way would be to make the purchase via a 360 console. The store on the 360 is set up differently from the website and the One, so in order for parental settings to work for 360 content, the purchase has to be made via the 360 console.

    Thx everyone for the really quick answers, first of all @Smwutches thx for answering but my xbox 360 broke which is the reason i got a xbox one but thx anyway. And to @Jayadub thx for answering this answer really helped so i think i can log into the parent
    account and download it from there to share on the xbox thx for the help again.

    That game is not backwards compatible. You can find a list of all games that are compatible at https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility

    There is no way to request a game to be compatible. The backwards compatibility program ended in 2021, so anything that is not compatible, won't be.
