Backward Compatibility

Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

Hello, use the website on a computer to download them onto your Xbox one.

Hi, You have to have a credit card on file to get Xbox 360 games from xbox.com or the Xbox One, whether they are free or not. If you have an Xbox 360 handy, then you can still use that to get the free Xbox 360 games, and they will show up in your ready
to install section so you can install them on your Xbox One.

Make sure that you have a payment method active (credit/debit card) as to download Xbox 360 games from the website or on the Xbox One this is required. Once you have a payment method you should be able to download the Xbox 360 games.

With xbox one backwards compatible games accessories are not compatible. Also only a few games are backwards compatible with more coming

While it is true that backwards compat is on hold. Every backwards compat licensing has to approved by the developer for that game to approve the ability of backwards compatibility. There are some developers unfortunately that will not allow there games
to be backwards compatible .

If it's not backward compatible then it's not backward compatible and never will be as they stopped updating the emulator years ago. The only Robotech game that is backward compatible is Battlecry.
