    Hi, I'm willing to buy resident evil 5 to replay it on xbox one, I read the list of games supported by backward compatibility so I know it is not on the list, however I wondered if buying a digital copy you can play it on xbox one and if the list refers
    only to physical copies (I tried with a physical copy of a friend of mine), thanks in advance for clarification on.

    Backward compatibility resident evil 5

    The list refers to all versions of the games, digital and physical. So if a game is not on the list, it will not work.

    Resident Evil 4 on Xbox 360

    If you own a digital copy of Resident Evil 4 on Xbox 360, it should be available to download and play on your Xbox Series X because it is listed as a backward compatible game.
    It's not backwards compatible. The Xbox One port of the game works on the Series X, but the 360 version is not playable on the Xbox One or Series X|S.

    It would depend on the games. Only games that are backwards compatible will show as ready to install. http://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility
